Zack Sullivan, IOM, ACE, the CEO and founder of Zactus Creative, LLC, is an experienced and trusted community leader, with more than fifteen years of high-level experience guiding businesses, organizations, events, and communities through economic growth, strategic change, and long-term success. As a dedicated Digital Content Strategist, Event Coordinator, Business Support Specialist, and a proven leader in non-profit organizational management and community development, Sullivan has built Zactus Creative off of a professional career defined by measurable results, impactful public relations, and a purpose-driven approach to leadership. 

A Proven Track Record of Leadership

Prior to launching Zactus Creative, Sullivan served for six and a half years as the Executive Director of the Geneseo Chamber of Commerce in Geneseo, Illinois. During his tenure, he completely transformed the organization and catalyzed regional economic vitality and tourism in Geneseo, and in Henry County. 

His strategic oversight resulted in dramatic increases in both membership growth and the organization's financial well-being.  A master of community engagement, story-telling, and branding, Sullivan successfully spearheaded major community initiatives and events in Geneseo from 2019 to 2025 - including the Geneseo Mural Project, Geneseo Christmas Walk, State Street Market, the Geneseo Music Festival, Geneseo's Scarecrow Row, Geneseo Artwalk, and the annual Trains, Planes & Automobiles festival. 

Sullivan is widely credited for elevating all of these community events in Geneseo in to must-attend regional destinations during his tenure. Sullivan also successfully coordinated numerous golf outings, annual dinner events, award as banquets, networking events, educational programming, and coordinated 84 ribbon cuttings to champion local businesses in the Geneseo and Henry County area.

• 2026 Regional Leader: Recognized by the Quad Cities Regional Business Journal as a 2026 Regional Leader in the Economic Development category, recognized in January 2026.
• IOM Graduate: Completed the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s rigorous Institute of Organizational Management program in Madison, Wisconsin, demonstrating professional competency in the non-profit, trade association, and Chamber of Commerce industries, graduated in June 2025.
• ACE Designation: Earned the prestigious Accredited Chamber Executive status from the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (IACCE) in November 2025.
• City of Geneseo Recognition: For outstanding dedication and leadership to the Geneseo Business Community during the COVID-19 Pandemic from 2020-2022, offered by City of Geneseo Mayor Sean Johnson in May 2022.

His championing of regional commerce has not gone unnoticed. Zack was honored as a 2026 Regional Leader by the Quad Cities Regional Business Journal and was named Rotarian of the Year in 2025 for his exceptional service as a multi-term Club President of the Geneseo Rotary Club. Over the years, his diplomatic representation and public service have earned official commendations from local mayors and state legislators alike.
